SAUTER HMM Type D
Mobile Hardness Tester
The SAUTER HMM Type D Mobile Hardness Tester is a portable digital hardness measuring device for metals, operating according to the Leeb rebound principle. It uses a Type D impact probe to determine hardness by measuring the rebound velocity of an impact body after striking the material surface. The instrument is suitable for testing steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper alloys and other metallic components, especially large or installed parts that cannot be tested with stationary machines. It provides measurements in HLD and automatically converts values into common hardness scales such as Rockwell (HRC/HRB), Vickers (HV) and Brinell (HB). Its compact design, LCD display, internal memory and easy operation make it ideal for quality control, production inspection, maintenance applications and on-site hardness measurements.
