MECHANICS – STATICS

MECHANICS – STATICS
Undergraduate
Course Info

The subject of the course is the static analysis of particles and rigid bodies, as well as the study of the effects of applied forces on rigid bodies, the analysis of friction forces, and the analysis of forces and moments in structures.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to: create simplified models for structural statics problems, calculate equilibrium conditions for rigid bodies and particles, analyze the distribution of forces in complex structures (trusses), calculate the distribution of forces/moments in linear structural elements (stress/resultant state).
