Course Info
In this course students are introduced to the dynamic analysis of machines, mechanisms, and structures.
The course builds upon knowledge acquired in previous mechanical engineering courses (Engineering Drawing, Engineering Mechanics, Machine Elements), serving as a key link in the learning path toward modern product and process design in the digital era.
The essential theoretical background is presented in a coherent manner through practical applications in areas such as energy, transportation, and structural engineering, among others, supported by correspondingly engaging exercises and tutorials.
Student assessment is conducted primarily through individual assignments, supplemented by a final examination.
Training is provided in the simulation and numerical solution of dynamics and vibration problems for engineering structures, including an introduction to the design and control of dynamic systems.
The course also includes specialized chapters on control/identification using Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods and selected applications of the Internet of Things (IoT).
