Biography

A Graduate Production Engineering and Management professional from the Technical University of Crete, Evanthia Mountaki graduated in 2023 and is currently a PhD Candidate at the Micromachining & Manufacturing Modeling Laboratory. Her academic background is complemented by two years of professional experience in the construction industry, where she specialized in structural steel manufacturing and metallic building projects.

Her doctoral research focuses on the investigation and optimization of drilling processes in composite materials, integrating theoretical modeling with high-precision experimental methodologies. In parallel with her PhD studies, she is an active researcher in the MOSAIC project, a specialized initiative dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage through the development of high-fidelity mosaic replicas. Within this project, she is responsible for the technical planning, execution, and management of CNC machining operations, effectively bridging advanced manufacturing engineering with cultural conservation.

With a strong foundation in both industrial production and academic research, Evanthia Mountaki is dedicated to advancing manufacturing efficiency and exploring the capabilities of modern CNC technologies for complex material applications.
